...on an additional note, I was planning on mounting my 690 upside-down, in a home-made table setup, and I ran into a little problem: how to mount the darn thing. I was thinking of 'simply' mounting it using the three tapped holes in the base, but then realized I can't actually go down to the local shop and get any US-standard bolts.

So, could any of you guys with 690's tell me what thread/size screws I need to order (wanted to get some stuff from McFeely's anyway) to fit the 690's thread?

Mattia...why can't you just remove the screws from the router plate and use the same ones to mount the router to your table plate?

Anyway...they're 24TPI and 3/16". You may need a few different lengths. I'd suggest 1/2" and 3/4" for starters.

It's the length issue; I haven't settled on the material for the table plate yet, but I'd like to go a little thicker than the router's own baseplate.

Mattia, The ones I used in mine are the same as JJ's but 1" long.

That's what I did. Got a Rousseau plate and built a table top for it, and just reused the original screws.

Could it be a #10-24?    
3/16" = .1875"
#10-24 is .190".
